Meet the MDN Convenors
MDN is a membership organisation run by four voluntary Convenors
Karen Morton – lead Convenor in charge of communications
Karen is a management consultant with considerable experience working with local, regional and national organisations particularly in the fields of voluntary sector infrastructure, women’s organisations, criminal justice and disability. Karen specialises in organising and facilitating/chairing events and conferences, supporting the development of new organisations including training, coaching, strategic planning and governance.
Andy Cawdell – Convenor responsible for handling MDN finances
Andy is a management consultant with considerable experience working in the voluntary and public sector who now runs his own not-for profit sector consultancy. Andy specialises in strategic planning and organisational development, governance, fundraising, finance, facilities management and ITC.
Anna Stobart – Convenor who organises MDN events
Anna is an experienced organisational effectiveness and development professional who has senior level international experience in both commercial and not-for-profit organisations. She specialises in offering organisational audits, HR strategy and planning, restructuring and culture change, management training, team coaching and away days.
Shirley Otto – Convenor for MDN in Scotland
Shirley is a management consultant with many years’ experience working in the voluntary sector who specialises in governance, organisational reviews and managing change. She is a highly experienced action learning facilitator who facilitates away days, board development sessions and team building and also delivers training.
